» About Us

Founded in 1917 at New York University Law School, Delta Phi Epsilon now includes more than 95 chapters and colonies across the U.S. and Canada, five of which are in Michigan. The international organization is part of the National Panhellenic Conference, making this chapter the only NPC sorority on LTU’s campus. The Alpha Psi Chapter at LTU was founded in 1991 and was the first international sorority on campus.

Delta Phi Epsilon promises to create a sense of belonging for all members, as well as inspire each member to be her best self. Its motto is Esse Quam Videri, which means “to be rather than to seem to be.” Members strive for excellence in sisterhood, scholarship, service, self-improvement, and social awareness. The sorority actively supports the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF), the National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders (ANAD), and the Delta Phi Epsilon Educational Foundation. Delta Phi Epsilon has held the highest chapter GPA of any Greek organization on campus for the past couple years. Delta Phi Epsilon – Alpha Psi provides opportunities for growth in leadership, responsibility, teamwork and interpersonal skills. The organization’s strength comes from its empowering international sisterhood and the creation of lifelong friendships. The sorority welcomes women who seek to enhance their college experiences and be the best version of themselves.
