Chi Omega Rho Sorority (ΧΩΡ)

Our Purpose:

To build upon the bonds of sisterhood.
To support fellow sisters in their academic and social growth.
To establish and maintain ideals and principles which will be used upon entering the business world.

» About Us

Chi Omega Rho is a local sorority at Lawrence Technological University. Founded in 1978 by eight devoted women, it has grown to become one of the most established sororities on campus. Its motto is “Purity in the bonds of sisterhood and the awakening of womanhood.”

From Architecture to Mathematics and Media Communications to Mechanical Engineering, the members of Chi Omega Rho support each other in their drive for academic excellence. Not only are the members active in the sorority, but they are influential on and off campus. Members are involved in organizations like Student Government, LTUs Honor’s College, Order of Omega, AEI, AIAS, and SWE. They take pride in the philanthropies they contribute to every year: Ronald McDonald House of Detroit, the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, and Gleaners Food Bank. Each year Chi Omega Rho continues to advance their mission of awarding a scholarship to an incoming female freshman who has demonstrated leadership skills, involvement in her community, and excelled in her studies.

Chi Omega Rho is a close group of girls who support each other through social and academic growth throughout college and for years after graduation. Not only are they involved with other organizations, philanthropies, and fundraisers, but they share a bond of sisterhood that creates a much needed support system and lifelong friendships.
