Angela Ladd inspires as a recipient of LTU’s Donley Distinguished Graduate Award

Angela Ladd is a 2025 recipient of LTU’s Ed Donley Distinguished Graduate Award.

From her first day at Lawrence Technological University (LTU), Angela Ladd knew she had found the perfect academic environment. The small class sizes and close-knit community gave her all she needed to thrive.

“It’s made a huge difference in my academic experience,” she said. “I’ve felt more supported, more engaged, and more confident going into each new semester knowing I already have a support system around me.”

Now a graduating senior in Robotic Engineering, Angela has been named a 2025 recipient of the prestigious Ed Donley Distinguished Graduate Award.

“I feel incredibly honored to be recognized, especially knowing how many hardworking and deserving students there are at LTU,” she shared.

Angela has made a lasting impact at LTU. She served as president and new member educator of Chi Omega Rho Sorority and vice president of the Society of Women Engineers. Angela also led her senior capstone team in the Intelligent Ground Vehicle Competition.

Beyond campus, Angela could be found working in LTU’s Fabrication Lab, mentoring students in FIRST Robotics and interning at Comau. She’s already begun a full-time role as a software engineer at Towbook. Angela will continue her work there as well as pursue her master’s degree at LTU in Mechatronics.

“I’ll be working on a thesis focused on Haptics under the guidance of Professor Jose James,” Angela said. “I’m excited for the opportunity to apply what I’ve learned in both academic and industry settings as I take this next step.”
