City of Dearborn Scholarship

Lawrence Technological University and the City of Dearborn are building a partnership to create scholarships and opportunities for student’s futures.

Undergraduate Scholarship

  • Scholarship Value is $18,000 per year.
  • This is a Stand Alone Scholarship, this will not be allowed to be combined with any other merit, athletic or any other LTU scholarship
  • Must live in the city of Dearborn or Dearborn Heights or attend any Dearborn or Dearborn Heights high school
  • Must be enrolled full-time.
    • 12 credit hour minimum per semester.
    • Continued enrollment (no stop outs or scholarship is forfeited).
    • Summers not included.
  • Remain in good academic standing with no past due balances.
  • Maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA.
  • Valid 8 semesters or 4 years.

Graduate Students

  • Must live in the city of Dearborn or Dearborn Heights or have graduated from any Dearborn or Dearborn Heights high school
  • Dependents do not qualify for graduate portion of this scholarship.
  • Minimum of 3 credit hours to qualify.
  • Scholarship value is approximately 35% off tuition charge
    • 3 credit hours: $1,300 Scholarship
    • 6 credit Hours: $2,600 Scholarship
    • 9 credit Hours: $3,900 Scholarship
  • Remain in good academic standing with no past due balances.
  • Cannot be combined with any other university scholarships or grants.
  • Scholarship value is approximately 35% off tuition charge.

In order for this fund to disburse to a student account under the City of Dearborn Scholarship this completed form must be submitted 30 days before the beginning of the semester.

ELIGIBILITY FORM

To be considered for this scholarship, students must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be a new incoming student with around a 3.0 GPA
  • Must live in the city of Dearborn or attend any Dearborn high school
  • Must continue enrollment (no stop outs)
  • This is a stand alone scholarship and cannot be combined with merit, athletic, or any other LTU scholarship

Use Your Cell Phone as a Document Camera in Zoom

  • What you will need to have and do
  • Download the mobile Zoom app (either App Store or Google Play)
  • Have your phone plugged in
  • Set up video stand phone holder

From Computer

Log in and start your Zoom session with participants

From Phone

  • Start the Zoom session on your phone app (suggest setting your phone to “Do not disturb” since your phone screen will be seen in Zoom)
  • Type in the Meeting ID and Join
  • Do not use phone audio option to avoid feedback
  • Select “share content” and “screen” to share your cell phone’s screen in your Zoom session
  • Select “start broadcast” from Zoom app. The home screen of your cell phone is now being shared with your participants.

To use your cell phone as a makeshift document camera

  • Open (swipe to switch apps) and select the camera app on your phone
  • Start in photo mode and aim the camera at whatever materials you would like to share
  • This is where you will have to position what you want to share to get the best view – but you will see ‘how you are doing’ in the main Zoom session.
