Healthy Aging Innovation Center

LTU Team

Our multi-disciplinary team is comprised of leaders, faculty and students all across the University encompassing the fields of healthcare, engineering, computer science, architecture, design and business.

Immersed within LTU’s rich history of innovation, this team has direct access to the University’s plethora of healthcare partnerships, labs and its top-in-the-state hardware  accelerator (link to Centrepolis Accelerator here) all of which can be used to advance innovations for seniors.

Located on campus in Southfield within Oakland County MI, the Center is close to Wayne, Macomb, Washtenaw, Livingston, Genesee and Lapeer counties all of which are home to 41% of the state’s seniors.  The Center is surrounded by an abundance of highly ranked hospitals, located within a Michigan Economic Development Smartzone and centrally located in a burgeoning innovation ecosystem which includes Ann Arbor and the Detroit area. Michigan invested $1.62 billion in the life science and medical device industries in 2020 which ranked in the top 10 in the U.S.
