BRINK: Building Research Infrastructure, Networking and Knowledge 2024 Conference

Get to know colleagues in Michigan’s higher education institutions who can support you in building research infrastructure, networks, and knowledge beyond the conference; learn research-based techniques to improve strategic thinking, planning, and leading; gain insight into the NSF Growing Research Access for Nationally Transformative Equity and Diversity (GRANTED) initiative, and leave with a vision and the tools to grow your research administration and development capacity.

Pre-Conference – Monday, June 17

Lawrence Technological University hosts a Research Administration Certification Council (RACC) Certified Financial Research Administrator (CFRA) Study Session, 8:30 am-5:00 pm. CFRA registration is separate from BRINK conference registration.

Pre-paid review session spots are available for Michigan universities with less than $10M in research funding. Email NSF-BRINK@ltu.edu for more information.

**Registration with a light hors d’oeuvres reception opens at 5 p.m. for BRINK conference participants.

Conference Day 1 – Tuesday, June 18

We kick off with strength and strategy in communication through interactive Appreciative Inquiry and SOAR workshops; then we round out the day with the Advancing Research Impact in Society (ARIS) Toolkit, networking, exhibitor booths, and dinner with colleagues.

Breakfast and lunch are provided daily. Conference participants receive a stipend of $50 to support their personal travel and evening dinner expenses.

Conference Day 2 – Wednesday, June 19

National Science Foundation GRANTED program official Dr. Dina Stroud joins us live for a grant writing session, supporting you in getting involved and funded! Get started writing a grant with your ideas generated during Day 1!

Breakfast and lunch are provided daily. Conference participants receive a stipend of $50 to support their personal travel and evening dinner expenses. 

If you’re driving quite a distance, please stay awhile! Hotel stays will be supported for conference participants traveling more than 50 miles until our capacity for this support is reached, so please register early for consideration.
