Dr. Hamid Vejdani has been awarded a 3-year research grant from NSF to achieve the following goals:

  • Collaborating with Brown University and University of Colorado to understand how flying animals (bats specifically) maneuver in the air
  • Use the physics of bat flight into providing design and control protocols for flying robots
  • Dynamical modeling of prey-predator pursuit in the air for flapping winged systems
