Real-Time Object Detection System

Engineering
Electrical + Computer Engineering
Student Project

The Real-Time Object Detection System is engineered to boost security and monitoring capabilities using advanced visual recognition technology. This innovative software utilizes machine learning models and computer vision techniques to process live video feeds, effectively identifying and annotating objects with color-coded bounding boxes and descriptive labels. The system leverages TensorFlow’s pretrained models, specifically optimized with SSD MobileNet architectures for top efficiency.

Ideal for scenarios such as traffic monitoring, retail analytics, or advanced surveillance systems, this solution operates in real-time to ensure prompt object recognition and appropriate responses. As a fully automated and reliable system, it greatly enhances monitoring efficacy and safety, considerably minimizing the need for manual oversight.
