Embodied Carbon represents an investigation into the contemporary design process and the role of the architect’s design sensibility in the digital era. It recognizes the gap that exists when architects transfer their designs to construction documents. This work explores the loss of information that occurs when design data moves between different software applications and examines how this gap can be bridged with carefully articulated design information to enhance the design further. The model presents an additional dimensionality for thoughtful design explorations in a tangible form.
