Biophilic Design for Alleviating Workplace Stress in Saudi Arabia

Zahra, a senior Interior Design student at LTU, will graduate this year. Immersed in diverse projects, she is passionate about commercial design. These experiences have equipped her with valuable skills for real-world applications in interior design.

In today’s fast-paced world, workplace well-being is crucial for organizations. This project explores how biophilic design can reduce stress in Saudi Arabian workplaces. Biophilic design integrates nature into architecture, fostering a healthier environment. The project focuses on a translation company on the third floor of Alasala College in KSA, using earthy tones and plants inspired by Saudi desert and traditional architecture. This approach aims to create a stress-reducing workspace that celebrates Saudi Arabian cultural identity and its connection to nature.
