The Bioinstrumentation Laboratory provides students hands-on experience in instrumentation to properly interpret and utilize measurements from living systems.
Biomedical Engineering students have access to a variety of electronics equipment (including oscilloscopes, AC generators, soldering irons, and circuit components) with which to design, fabricate, and test prototype bioelectronic devices. The Bioinstrumentation Laboratory opens the door for those interested in investigating signals from the heart (ECG), brain (EEG), and muscles (EMG) for diagnostics and innovative therapies.
