LTU ALERT:

For Thursday 02/06/25, the campus will be closed until 12 noon today due to the severe weather. All classes scheduled after 12 noon will take place as scheduled. Students should check Canvas for details on classes.

Chemistry

From the microscopic intricacies of cellular life to the vast ecosystems that blanket our planet, the study of biology is the means and method by which humans seek to perceive and comprehend the fundamental nature of living organisms. Supported by funding from the National Institutes of Health, LTU’s biology faculty and students are engaged in collaborative, cutting-edge research activities.

Biology

At Lawrence Technological University, the psychology program encompasses a wide range of disciplines including computational cognition, psychology of technology, and psycholinguistics. Computational cognition develops models to gain insight into how people solve challenging problems in everyday life.

Physics

Supported by funding from the National Science Foundation and joined by a shared commitment to pushing the boundaries of understanding, LTU’s faculty and students are collaboratively engaged in cutting-edge research. This hands-on experience is a distinct advantage of LTU’s “theory and practice” approach.

Intelligent Robotics

Embraced in theory and practice, computer science faculty create a hands-on learning environment focusing on intelligent robotics to solve real-world problems. Students will be conducting research and applying the latest advances in artificial intelligence to help solve real-world problems in psychology, engineering, education, the arts, and healthcare.

Mathematical Biology

Students entering this interdisciplinary field are on the front line of a new era of understanding and problem solving, utilizing cutting-edge computational modeling and theoretical analysis to push our understanding of how the living world operates.

Nur Saltik: Frosting Collection

Frosting Collection is a series of 3D printed objects exploring the design process. The final pieces were sketched through VR software manufactured through additive technology. The project aims to eliminate many steps of the design process and bring the designer’s sketches to final objects.

Lilian Crum: Unsold Studio

Lilian Crum is a Partner and Designer at Unsold Studio (unsoldstudio.com), a branding, graphic design, and design strategy studio that focuses on producing work for creative culture, the public good, and lifestyle brands. The studio has won dozens of awards, and represented Detroit and the United States at Singapore Design Week in 2019.
