The Certificate in Architectural Specifications is a three-course program that provides a wholistic understanding of the content, production and implementation of written specifications in architectural practice. Coursework equips students with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to produce clear, accurate, and coordinated specifications that manage requirements from architects, contractors, material suppliers, and clients.
The program is open to current Bachelor or Masters students in Architecture, Architectural Engineering or Construction Engineering Technology and Management at Lawrence Technological University, or as a stand-alone, professional development credential for those working in the Architectural, Engineering and Construction (AEC) industries who want to specialize in architectural specifications.
Students completing the Certificate may continue their credentialling through the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) by pursuing qualification as a Construction Documents Technologist (CDT), or Certified Construction Contract Administrator (CCCA).
