LTU signs 29 student-athletes to Fall 2025 football roster

SOUTHFIELD—Today, Lawrence Technological University announced the names of 29 football recruits on National Signing Day.

The recruits will be joining LTU for the Fall 2025 academic semester and participate in LTU’s 2025 football schedule in the Mid-States Football Association.

“We’re ecstatic about the group of young men we have coming in this year,” said LTU Head Football Coach Scott Merchant. “This group has an average GPA of 3.55, and at Lawrence Tech, everything starts with academics. It’s a very talented group of young men that we think are going to add a lot of value not only in the classroom but on the football field. We’re excited to have student-athletes from all over the state of Michigan and Ohio as well.”

Added Oscar Olejniczak, LTU football recruiting coordinator, offensive coordinator, and offensive line coach: “I am very excited about the student-athletes we signed for the class of 2025.  The players we signed have performed at a high level on the football field and in the classroom.  I believe that we have signed impact players on both sides of the football. The future is bright for Lawrence Tech football.”

The student-athletes’ planned majors include actuarial science, architecture, business, chemistry, computer science, construction management, media communication, pre-medicine, sports management, and civil, electrical, and mechanical engineering.

Lawrence Tech reintroduced a football program to its athletic offerings in 2017 after a hiatus of more than 50 years. LTU is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics. Log in and start your Zoom session with participants

From Phone

  • Start the Zoom session on your phone app (suggest setting your phone to “Do not disturb” since your phone screen will be seen in Zoom)
  • Type in the Meeting ID and Join
  • Do not use phone audio option to avoid feedback
  • Select “share content” and “screen” to share your cell phone’s screen in your Zoom session
  • Select “start broadcast” from Zoom app. The home screen of your cell phone is now being shared with your participants.

To use your cell phone as a makeshift document camera

  • Open (swipe to switch apps) and select the camera app on your phone
  • Start in photo mode and aim the camera at whatever materials you would like to share
  • This is where you will have to position what you want to share to get the best view – but you will see ‘how you are doing’ in the main Zoom session.
