SOUTHFIELD—Lawrence Technological University has been ranked No. 33 among the 2022-2023 Best Regional Universities-Midwest by U.S. News & World Report. Now in their 38th year, the rankings evaluate more than 1,450 colleges and universities on up to 17 measures of academic quality.
The ranking is a move up for LTU, which ranked No. 37 in the prior two years.
“LTU’s ranking in this most prestigious college rating system is no accident,” LTU President Tarek M. LTU also made U.S. News’ Best Value Colleges, Best Colleges for Veterans, and Top Performers for Social Mobility lists among its peer group of Midwestern universities. The best value list weighs academic quality and available financial aid. The veterans’ list includes schools with the most aggressive aid programs for veterans. And the social mobility list measures graduation rates of students receiving Pell Grants, federal scholarships given to students from low-income households.
U.S. News publishes its Best Colleges rankings each year to provide prospective students and their families with helpful data and information on factors such as graduation rates, social mobility, and graduate indebtedness.
