Letter From the Dean

As we begin our second year, the College of Health Sciences continues to grow in purpose and impact. This fall, we celebrated our first anniversary as a college, the Long White Coat Ceremony for our physician assistant cohort, and the arrival of a new class of future health innovators. Each milestone reflects the heart of our mission to prepare compassionate, capable leaders for a changing world of healthcare.

Our vision remains clear: to deliver transformative, technology-driven education to meet the evolving needs of our communities and the healthcare workforce.

Our Priorities:

  • Student Success and Equity: We are building a learning environment where every student feels supported, valued, and empowered to thrive.
  • Innovation in Learning: We are expanding applied learning opportunities and fundraising for advanced simulation spaces, including Anatomage Tables, to bring cutting-edge experiences to our classrooms.
  • Partnerships and Growth: We are strengthening regional collaborations to prepare agile, innovative professionals ready to lead.
  • Community and Connection: True excellence grows from belonging. We are intentional about fostering a culture of respect, collaboration, and shared purpose.

Together, we are shaping a community where knowledge inspires action, and every success story begins with care, curiosity, and connection.

To use your cell phone as a makeshift document camera

  • Open (swipe to switch apps) and select the camera app on your phone

  • This is where you will have to position what you want to share to get the best view – but you will see ‘how you are doing’ in the main Zoom session.
