SOUTHFIELD—Lawrence Technological University announced that it has earned the 2023-24 Military Friendly School designation from Viqtory, a Coraopolis, Pa.-based, disabled-veteran-owned company focused on linking military veterans and the employers that want to hire them. Viqtory publishes several military- and veteran-focused magazines and websites.
Officials at Viqtory say Military Friendly is a standard that measures an organization’s commitment, effort, and success in creating sustainable and meaningful opportunity for the military community.
Institutions earning the Military Friendly School designation were evaluated using public data sources and responses from a proprietary survey. More than 1,800 schools participated in the 2023-24 survey, with 530 schools earning the honor. The 2023-24 Military Friendly Schools list will be published in the May issue of Viqtory’s G.I. Jobs magazine.
The methodology, criteria, and weightings for the designation were determined by Viqtory with input from the Military Friendly Advisory Council, comprised of independent leaders in higher education. Final ratings were determined by combining the institutions’ survey responses and government agency public data sources. The designation measures the institutions’ ability to meet thresholds for retention, graduation, repayment, and loan default rates for all students and specifically for student veterans.
