» Job Description

Summary

Data Entry of applications, letter generation, student requests, student records, as assigned. Assist students and departments with the registration process and graduation. Assist admissions office in on orientations and campus recruitment programs.

Job Duties

Process admissions applications and all supporting documents in Banner.

Responsible to monitor and work the data entry, decision, pending and transfer articulation queues in Slate.

Generate letters for mailing for admissions.

Prepare and send out communications related to non-registered students.

Responsible for processing transfer credit.

Responsible to respond to all email communication inquiries from prospective students.

Responsible to complete the worksheet for foreign credentials for international applicants.

Responsible to participate in graduation ceremony.

Responsible to process applications, decisions and print admissions acceptance letters on a rotating basis.

Responsible to work with graduate program director to assist in inquiries regarding student files, the imaging process and responding on their behalf to the students concerning admissions decisions.

Responsible to work with team to review error reports in slate to verify information is accurate.

Manage guest and additional credit processes.

Works in a problem solving mode, in a professional and courteous manner, with all areas of the University.

Reports all activities on a regular basis. Evening and occasional weekend work required.
Other duties as may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Use Your Cell Phone as a Document Camera in Zoom

  • What you will need to have and do
  • Download the mobile Zoom app (either App Store or Google Play)
  • Have your phone plugged in
  • Set up video stand phone holder

From Computer

Log in and start your Zoom session with participants

From Phone

  • Start the Zoom session on your phone app (suggest setting your phone to “Do not disturb” since your phone screen will be seen in Zoom)
  • Type in the Meeting ID and Join
  • Do not use phone audio option to avoid feedback
  • Select “share content” and “screen” to share your cell phone’s screen in your Zoom session
  • Select “start broadcast” from Zoom app. The home screen of your cell phone is now being shared with your participants.

To use your cell phone as a makeshift document camera

  • Open (swipe to switch apps) and select the camera app on your phone
  • Start in photo mode and aim the camera at whatever materials you would like to share
  • This is where you will have to position what you want to share to get the best view – but you will see ‘how you are doing’ in the main Zoom session.
