The A. Leon Linton Department of Mechanical, Robotics, and Industrial Engineering at Lawrence Technological University (LTU) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in the field of Mechanical Engineering. Candidates are required to hold a PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field by the date of hire. The appointment will begin August 2025.
Particular areas of interest include, but are not limited to, finite element analysis and nondestructive testing. The successful candidate will have a high potential for excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, a publication record commensurate with years since PhD obtained, and the ability to establish and conduct independent research.
SUMMARY:
Teach courses in robotics engineering as assigned by the department chair, usually 9 credit-hours per semester. Carry out scholarly work, including applied research. Serve the department, college, and the profession by undertaking committee work and leadership roles and by advising students.
