Research scholar assistantships (RSA) are appointments made to students enrolled in an undergraduate, masters or doctoral program at Lawrence Technological University. The research scholar appointees must be in good standing, i.e. have a minimum 3.0 honor point average or its equivalent. The appointment may be part-time or full-time.

All RSAs must comply with all the conditions outlined in the contractual agreement with LTU. In the event that all the conditions are not fulfilled, the RSA shall be held fully and liable and may be required to refund the University any and all stipend payments and University-provided insurance.

In exchange for participation in the assistantship program, eligible RSA appointees are provided medical, dental and vision insurance. A number of the programs (such as Social Security, worker’s compensation, state disability and unemployment insurance) are applied in the manner prescribed by law.

NOTE:  Your eligibility for insurance coverage is subject to the provisions of the grant-funding agency and your departmental approvals.

The Insurance Open Enrollment process is completely online through Bannerweb. During the insurance open enrollment period, current eligible Research Scholar Assistants may enroll or cancel insurance.
