Flagship Doctoral Program Leads Business Administration Fall 2025 Offerings

“We’re excited to get it started!”

During the College of Business and Information Technology’s segment of Lawrence Technological University’s Giving Day livestream on April 8, Matthew Cole, Ph.D., dean of the college, announced the return of the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) program to LTU’s academic catalog for fall 2025.

The DBA program at LTU will not be a passive pursuit for managerial theoreticians; it is an engaged, relevant, hands-on pathway forward for 2025 and beyond, empowering individuals to lead global enterprises in a changing world.

This unique doctoral program will involve students over three years (54 credit hours) in a combination of applied research, the use of emerging technologies, and the study of strategic leadership. A compelling mix of all-encompassing components will bring this degree’s toolkit to the students. Technological eminence will be present with deep integration of AI, big data, digital platforms, and innovation strategy. Appliedresearch will ensure dissertations and capstone projects are grounded in real-world issues and impact. Industry leaders and experienced scholar-practitioners will comprise the world-class faculty. Students will be connected to a global learning network, collaborating with a diverse cohort of professionals around the world. And with 100% online delivery, students will learn anytime, anywhere with asynchronous, flexible coursework.

In his comments on the DBA degree during the Giving Day program, Dean Cole cited a prominent, real-world example of the efficacy of a course of study such as this one and what it can mean in the career of an individual. Donald R. James, now Chief Executive Officer of Solero Technologies of Rochester Hills, Michigan, a major automotive industry supplier, is a recipient of the earlier Doctor of Business Administration degree from Lawrence Tech and is an advocate for the new program.

LTU DBA recipients will come away with more than the degree; they will bring enhanced leadership skills, strategic thinking, and evidence-based decision-making ability to address complex business challenges and contribute to academic and industry knowledge. In short, they will be further equipped to connect and succeed because they will be empowered.
