Assistant Professor of Teaching
Zhen Cheng is a scholar of theatre and performance studies with a background in English. Her teaching and research interests include Asian and Asian American studies, media studies, gender and sexuality studies, and twentieth-century critical theory. Her work investigates how theatre and performance reflect, negotiate, and transform socio-political realities. As a scholar-artist, she has experience as a director, dramaturg, and actor. Her pedagogy is dedicated to fostering cross-cultural exchange and critical thinking, and at LTU she brings this combined experience to her courses in college composition and the humanities.
