Jeremy
Zaluski
Adjunct Faculty

Jeremy Zaluski is a senior architectural designer at Hobbs + Black Architects in Ann Arbor, and an adjunct faculty member at Lawrence Tech. Jeremy’s passion for architecture and design started with a trip to the local library at age 8. In high school he focused his classes on art and vocational architecture, leading him to Lawrence Tech in 2004 to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Architecture (2009).

After Jeremy’s undergraduate studies at LTU, he received an opportunity to work as a designer at SmithGroup in Detroit. For 13 years Jeremy had the opportunity to learn and collaborate with talented architects and engineers across all disciplines of the profession. While at SmithGroup Jeremy worked as a designer on projects for: Oakland University, First Automotive Work (FAW), Michigan State University, University of Michigan, The Detroit Athletic Club, Bedrock Detroit, Henry Ford Health System, Marygrove Conservancy, General Motors, and Ford Motor Company. While working at SmithGroup Jeremy earned his Master of Architecture from LTU (2021). He lives in Southgate, MI with his wife Jenifer and two children.

Jeremy utilizes rapid ideation throughout the design process to maximize a project’s potential. Through a hybrid of traditional and contemporary drawing techniques he has learned how to communicate complex ideas into reality. He believes that designers are responsible for communicating design intent through all phases of a project and that they need to understand how to convey the non-existent into existence.
