Dr. Sledge joined Lawrence Tech in 2014 and has taught a wide range of philosophy classes including Ethics, Religion, and Social-Political Philosophy. He earned a Drs from the Universiteit van Amsterdam in religious studies and his Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Memphis focusing on social-political philosophy. His interests focus on the history of radical political philosophy, non-cannon figures in this history of philosophy and non-rational modes of establishing philosophical/religious truths.
Aside from teaching, Dr. Sledge is an avid home-brewer, calligrapher, go player, and has recently developed an interest in collecting medieval coins. More information can be found on his personal website.
