Fauzia Siddiq is a lecturer with both teaching and research experience. She obtained her MS in Biochemistry from the Dhaka University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. She obtained her Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and Genetics from the University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada.
After completing her Ph.D., she joined Wayne State University until 2014. At WSU she was involved in research in cancer molecular biology. Her research focused on early diagnosis of cancer. In a paper published in Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers, and Preventions, her research team showed the use of high throughput protein microarray technology for identification of promising cancer biomarkers. Her research team was successful in detecting cancer with 85 percent accuracy.
