Adjunct Faculty
Dr. Nestor is an architectural historian, preservationist, and educator. She holds a Ph.D. in history, an M.Arch, a Master’s in Historic Preservation, and a Bachelor’s in Historic Preservation and Community Planning. She works on federal and state compliance projects, including Section 106, and supports clients through architectural surveys, preservation planning, grant writing, and historic nominations. She teaches Introduction to Historic Preservation at the college level, and her scholarship focuses on early twentieth-century city planning and architecture, tourism, and heritage equity. Her passion is helping others see the value and beauty in the built environment. Dr. Nestor lives in coastal South Carolina and loves hunting for seashells and shark teeth, sailing, and spending time with her two dogs.
