Assistant Professor
Angela M. Morris DNP, APRN, AGCNS-BC, CCRN, SCRN is an Assistant Professor of Nursing at Lawrence Technological University. She earned her Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) from the University of Michigan Flint, her MSN with an Adult Gerontology Clinical Nurse Specialist concentration from Michigan State University, and her BSN from Davenport University.
Born and raised in Detroit, she has dedicated her nursing career to servicing underprivileged patient populations in the city. She has been a practicing bedside nurse at Henry Ford Health System since 2014 caring specifically for critically ill patients suffering from medical and neurological conditions. She has also served in several leadership positions focusing on nursing education, Magnet initiatives and mentoring nurses in professional development. Transitioning to academia in 2020, she has served as a clinical instructor for Michigan State University where she focused her efforts on senior nursing students teaching complex acute care and leadership courses. She is committed to developing innovative ways to educate undergraduate students and registered nurses within the healthcare system.
Dr. Morris has presented at local and national forums on evidence-based practices to improve clinical care and decrease nurse sensitive indicators such as catheter associated urinary tract infections, hospital acquired pressure injuries and practices related to critical care nursing and stroke care.
She is an active member of various nursing associations, including American Association of Neuro Nurses (AANN), American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN) and the National League of Nurses (NLN). She has served on various committees for the National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists (NACNS) and the Michigan Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists (MiCNS) where she currently serves on the Board of Directors as the Legislative Liaison.
Dr. Morris is most passionate about mentoring new and aspiring nurses, advancing professional nursing and increasing awareness of the Clinical Nurse Specialist role while advocating for full practice privileges for APRNs.

Use Your Cell Phone as a Document Camera in Zoom

  • What you will need to have and do
  • Download the mobile Zoom app (either App Store or Google Play)
  • Have your phone plugged in
  • Set up video stand phone holder

From Computer

Log in and start your Zoom session with participants

From Phone

  • Start the Zoom session on your phone app (suggest setting your phone to “Do not disturb” since your phone screen will be seen in Zoom)
  • Type in the Meeting ID and Join
  • Do not use phone audio option to avoid feedback
  • Select “share content” and “screen” to share your cell phone’s screen in your Zoom session
  • Select “start broadcast” from Zoom app. The home screen of your cell phone is now being shared with your participants.

To use your cell phone as a makeshift document camera

  • Open (swipe to switch apps) and select the camera app on your phone
  • Start in photo mode and aim the camera at whatever materials you would like to share
  • This is where you will have to position what you want to share to get the best view – but you will see ‘how you are doing’ in the main Zoom session.
