Michael McGillis is a Detroit-based installation artist whose work focuses on the chaotic intersection of Nature and human culture. For over 25 years he has created installation projects in public settings in the United States, Europe, and Taiwan. He has received project funding from several organizations, including the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs, the Jerome Foundation, and the Danish Arts Foundation. He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Center for Creative Studies in 1989.
