Professional Background

Jonny is an Iraqi-American Architect and Urban Designer he is the founder of Hbb Deco, an urban and architectural design studio that focuses on the intersection of objects, housing and urbanism. He received his M.Arch and Certificate in Health and Health Policy from the Princeton School of Architecture and the School of Public and International Affairs respectively, and also holds an M.U.D. and B.S. Arch from the University of Michigan.

His research focuses on typological adaptations by means of environmentally passive, and semi-modular tectonic construction methods. The work ranges from writings on late modern housing schemes in  West Asia and North Africa to the design and deployment of contemporary sustainable housing prototypes through commission based work.
