Gretchen Wilkins is Chair of the Architecture department and Associate Professor teaching architectural design studio, with over twenty years of experience based in the United States, Australia, and Vietnam. Most recently, she was Architect-in-Residence and Head of Architecture at Cranbrook Academy of Art, and before that was an Associate Professor at RMIT University in Melbourne and Head of the Design Department at RMIT Vietnam. She was also an Assistant Professor of Architecture at the University of Michigan, where she received her Master of Architecture degree. Gretchen’s architectural research explores links between contemporary forms of making and cities, undertaken through professional and speculative design practice, teaching, and research. She holds a PhD in Architecture from RMIT University and is a registered and NCARB-certified architect licensed in Michigan.
