Hey there! I’m Marissa, a proud Michigander raised in Texas. Home for me extends beyond geographical borders and has been found in the vibrant community of Lawrence Technological University, which has become my cherished home away from home.
In 2018, I proudly walked across the stage to receive my Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from LTU. Armed with a passion for both technical innovation and the human experience, I embarked on a journey to make a difference in the lives of college students.
My professional journey has been deeply intertwined with the dynamic tapestry of student life. For the past six years, I served as a Residence Hall Coordinator, fostering a sense of community and providing support to students navigating the exciting yet challenging college experience. This hands-on experience has allowed me to witness the transformative power of higher education and solidified my commitment to making a positive impact on the student journey.
Now, in my first year as the Student Life Coordinator, I want to continue to bring my enthusiasm and dedication to the forefront. Whether it’s organizing engaging events, fostering a sense of belonging, or providing support during transitional periods – I am driven by the belief that the college experience extends far beyond the classroom.
When I’m not immersed in the world of student life, you can find me spending time with friends, reading, or exploring new places! I believe in the power of education to shape lives and am thrilled to contribute to the growth and success of the incredible students at LTU. Here’s to a journey filled with learning, laughter, and the shared spirit of the Blue Devils!
