Director of Residence Life

Professional Background

Hey there! I’m Marissa, a proud Michigander raised in Texas. Home for me extends beyond geographical borders, and I’ve found it in the vibrant community of Lawrence Technological University, which has become my cherished home away from home.

In 2018, I proudly walked across the stage to receive my Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from LTU. With a passion for both technical innovation and the human experience, I began a journey focused on supporting and enriching the lives of college students.

My professional journey has been deeply intertwined with the dynamic world of student life. I previously served for six years as a Residence Hall Coordinator, fostering community, supporting students through their college transitions, and helping create inclusive residential environments. Following that, I spent three years as a Student Life Coordinator, working closely with campus partners to enhance engagement, leadership development, and campus culture.

Now, I am excited to be stepping into the role of Director of Residence Life, where I continue to champion student belonging, holistic support, and meaningful residential experiences. Whether it’s creating engaging programs, supporting student leaders, or guiding students through key moments in their college journey, I believe the college experience extends far beyond the classroom.

When I’m not immersed in student life, you can find me spending time with friends, reading, or exploring new places. I believe in the power of education to shape lives and am thrilled to contribute to the growth and success of the incredible students at LTU. Here’s to a journey filled with learning, laughter, and the shared spirit of the Blue Devils!
