Justin
Famularo
Assistant Professor of Practice

I’m Justin Famularo. I have a background in Industrial Design from the College for Creative Studies. Graduating during the 2008 recession began a career of being resourceful pursuing more entrepreneurial opportunities and receiving my MFA in Interdisciplinary Design from CCS in 2012. I moonlighted as a freelancer for years keeping my skills fresh as I delivered car parts and leveraged my design background to market specialty cars. A relentless addiction to automotive led me to developing a compelling wheel brand and though its always lacked the capital investment, I keep it fueling my own projects. The wheels and 3-d modeling behind it led me to General Motors as a creative sculptor and my time a Rivian made me an expert surface designer, ultimately shipping parts and components through production, via collaboration with designers, suppliers, and engineers. My experience led me to pivot to robotics with Piaggio Fast Forward. I may be nuts about cars but I’m more and more passionate about mobility, being an advocate for alternate modes of transport.
