Dr. Franco Delogu is a Professor of Psychology at Lawrence Technological University, where he has been a faculty member since 2012. He earned his Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology from Sapienza University of Rome, Italy, and has an extensive background in research and teaching at international institutions, including Utrecht University (Netherlands), RIKEN Brain Science Institute (Japan), and the University of Rome.
As part of the Computational Cognition Lab, Dr. Delogu employs diverse research methods—including eye tracking, functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS), immersive virtual reality, and experimental behavioral techniques—to explore multisensory integration in perception and working memory, music and art cognition, cross-modal interactions, and the cognitive aspects of technology use, such as attention in healthcare device operators.
Beyond research, Dr. Delogu is dedicated to advancing STEM education, particularly through undergraduate course-based research experiences (CURE) and the integration of cloud computing in neuroscience education for students from diverse backgrounds. He has led multiple grant-funded initiatives, including the HHMI-funded Inclusive Excellence initiative, which promotes equity in education through research-based learning experiences. His interdisciplinary collaborations span psychology, engineering, and data science, with projects supported by the National Science Foundation and other organizations.

At Lawrence Technological University, Dr. Delogu teaches courses in General Psychology, Behavioral Neuroscience, Psychology of Perception, and Experimental Psychology. He also serves as an Associate Editor for Cognitive Processing and Frontiers in Psychology and is an active reviewer and editor for leading academic journals in psychology and neuroscience.
