She earned a Master of Architecture and a PhD from the University of Ferrara, where she developed methodologies for integrating robotics into architectural restoration.

Sara has presented her work at platforms including ACSA, ARCC, NCBDS, AIA National, and Playing Models, and has led workshops for ACADIA, Sigradi, DigitalFUTURES, and the University of Texas at Austin SoA. She is a co-PI on a National Science Foundation EPIIC grant and co-founder of the Prototyping Lab for Offsite Prefabrication, which investigates digital fabrication strategies for low-carbon construction.

Her collaborative project Fabricated Combines on creative AI was selected for the main exhibition of the Venice Biennale Architettura 2025 at the Corderie dell’Arsenale. She also co-curated the exhibitions Design with Intelligence, Constructing Futures, and Mobile Detroit 2050 for the Detroit Month of Design.
