Adjunct Faculty
Beth Biernacki is a practicing designer with a focus on interior environments. Her work centers on design that is grounded in empathy, wellness, trauma-informed design principles, and community-focused values. With a background in healthcare and workplace design, Beth brings experience in creating thoughtful, user-centered spaces that support the wellbeing of their occupants.
Beth also serves on the board of the Interior Designers Coalition for Change (IDCFC), a nonprofit offering interior design services to communities in need across metro Detroit. Her involvement with IDCFC reflects her commitment to creating meaningful spaces and expanding access to design where resources are limited. She shares this perspective of empathy, wellness, and community impact with students, encouraging them to consider the broader impact of interior environments.
Outside of design, Beth values a balanced life rooted in purpose, nature, and meaningful relationships. She recharges at her home in Royal Oak with her husband, Adam, and their cat, and also enjoys spending time on the lake at their cottage in Northern Michigan.
