Al-Azary is an experimental psychologist interested in language and cognition. He holds a Ph.D. in psychology from the Western University (London, Ontario) along with a BA and MSc from the University of Windsor.
His main research is on metaphor processing, conceptual representations and abstraction. His work appears in psychology and linguistics journals and international conferences. Prior to joining Lawrence Tech, Dr. Al-Azary was a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the University of Alberta (Edmonton, Canada).
Recently, he developed a special topics course called, “Metaphor, Cognition, and Communication.”
