Usernames and Passwords

LTU laptops, public computers, secured wireless network, printers and shares use the network/Canvas username and password.

LTU BannerWeb Login

Admitted Students and Alumni-
Click “BannerWeb Login for Admitted Students and Alumni”
Your BannerWeb ID will be your nine digit Banner ID (including all zeros). Your initial BannerWeb PIN is your date of birth in MMDDYY format. For example: 022890 You must change your PIN to another 6-digit (or more) number the first time you log into BannerWeb.

Current Students, Faculty, and Staff-
Click “BannerWeb Login for Students, Faculty, and Staff”
You will use your Canvas/Network username and password to login.

LTU Canvas Login

First time logging in Canvas?

To find your Canvas username:

1. Log into BannerWeb
2. Click on Personal Information
3. Click on View E-mail Addresses
4. The campus email address before @ltu.edu is your Canvas username

The initial password for Canvas and campus computers is your 8-digit date of birth plus your 9-digit Banner ID number in MMDDYYYY######### format.

• Canvas/Network computer/network passwords must be 16 characters or more
• Canvas/Network computer/network passwords expire every year
• Password can be changed through myPassword.

LTU Gmail Login

Find your LTU email address:

1. Login to Bannerweb
2. Click on Personal Information
3. Click on View E-mail Addresses

Your LTU email initial password

Your initial or default Gmail password is your birth date plus your 9-digit Banner ID number in MMDDYYYY######### format. This password must be changed when you login for the first time.
