Go to Gmail or to my.ltu.edu and click Mail

 

First Time Users

  1. Enter your email username@ltu.edu and click Next
  2. Enter your initial (default) password which is your 8-digit birth date plus your 9-digit Banner ID number in MMDDYYYY######### format. Click Next
  3. On the next screen, create a new password, select the language, type the text shown in the security image in the input box, read the terms and conditions, and then click “I accept. Create my account button.”
  4. For your own security, create a password that’s hard to guess. The password strength indicator will be completely green if you choose a strong password.

 

Returning Users

  1. Enter your email username@ltu.edu
  2. Click Next
  3. Enter your password.
  4. Click Next

How to set up LTU Gmail on your Android

  1. From the Android Home screen, tap on the Gmail icon.


  2. Click the three lines in the upper left corner, then scroll down and click ” Settings 
  3. Select ” Add account 
  4. Select ” Google ” as the type of email account.
  5. Enter your LTU email address , then click Next

  6. Enter your LTU email password , then click Next

  7. Review and agree to the Terms of Service


  8. Your account will login, now you can check your LTU Gmail from Android.

How to set up LTU Gmail and Google Calendar on your iPhone.

  1. Tap Settings



  2. Scroll down and tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars.


  3. Tap Add Account

  4. Tap Google

  5. Now enter the name you want email recipients to see, along with your LTU email address and password. Type LTU Gmail for the description, or another name that identifies this from any other Gmail account. Tap next at the top.


  6. Now you have the option to sync Gmail contacts, calendars and notes as well as email. Tap Save.

Use Your Cell Phone as a Document Camera in Zoom

  • What you will need to have and do
  • Download the mobile Zoom app (either App Store or Google Play)
  • Have your phone plugged in
  • Set up video stand phone holder

From Computer

Log in and start your Zoom session with participants

From Phone

  • Start the Zoom session on your phone app (suggest setting your phone to “Do not disturb” since your phone screen will be seen in Zoom)
  • Type in the Meeting ID and Join
  • Do not use phone audio option to avoid feedback
  • Select “share content” and “screen” to share your cell phone’s screen in your Zoom session
  • Select “start broadcast” from Zoom app. The home screen of your cell phone is now being shared with your participants.

To use your cell phone as a makeshift document camera

  • Open (swipe to switch apps) and select the camera app on your phone
  • Start in photo mode and aim the camera at whatever materials you would like to share
  • This is where you will have to position what you want to share to get the best view – but you will see ‘how you are doing’ in the main Zoom session.
