LTU has been working with some of the colleges to create pre-developed rubrics. These rubrics have outcomes connected to them that correspond with the course they are associated with to assist with collecting data for accreditation. Below are instructions of how to locate these rubrics and attach them to activities.
To begin you must create an activity, assignment or graded discussion, or unless already created.

Once loaded you can now edit by clicking on the pencil at the top right.
If there are outcomes connected to the rubric, you will not be able to edit the outcome in any way.
What you can edit on the rubrics are the title, delete a specific criterion, or add new criterion.
Upon clicking the edit button (the pencil icon) if you scroll to the bottom you’ll see a section of options with checkable boxes.
The main two that are using are Use this rubric for assignment grading and Remove points from rubric.
Using the rubric for grading and assessment is the same procedure. The only difference is that with using the rubric for assessment is that you’ll have to in put the grade yourself.
To begin using the rubric you’ll first need to access the assignment and click Speedgrader

All you need to do to give Canvas rubric data is to click on the squares associated to the rows ranking.
If you want to bring in just the University level outcomes follow the instructions below.
Click on Outcomes in the Global Navigation
Note: You can also import an entire outcome group by selecting the folder and clicking Import.
