This course explores One Health, the concept that human, animal, and environmental/ecosystem health are linked. The model provides a valuable framework for examining complex health issues such as food safety and security, emerging and vector-borne diseases, and antimicrobial resistance. One Health principles are used to determine the effectiveness of government policies and global health policies in general. Course reviews the consequences of past health and social policies and how they affect our present health and at what changes can be made to assure improvedhealth and wellbeing for today’s population.
