This class will focus on the use of GIS in urban design, planning, and land use analysis. The class will emphasize studying the city in the GIS context and usage of GIS to plan for growth in the urban environment. Planning for growth will include the balance of housing, jobs, tax base, utilities, transportation, the natural environment, and the built environment.
