This course focuses on human behavior and ergonomics as applied to workplace safety. Various aspects will be addressed in the tasks, operations, environments, behavioral factors, psychological factors, cognitive processes and integration of human factors and human computer interaction. Throughout the course, students will engage in comprehensive analyses, design thinking, and evaluations of human behaviors and decision-making processes within complex systems. Practical application is emphasized through usability testing techniques, encompassing human factor usability and vehicle usability in product design. Furthermore, this course offers students the opportunity to tackle real-world challenges by applying principles of human factors and occupational ergonomics to problem-solving scenarios via course projects.
