SOUTHFIELD, MI—Centrepolis Accelerator @ LTU has received a $100,000 grant from the Consumers Energy Foundation to further its mission of accelerating the growth of Michigan’s high-tech manufacturing startups. This funding will support the accelerator’s work with undercapitalized hardtech companies, helping bring innovative physical products to market.
“At the Consumers Energy Foundation we know how important it is to provide the support necessary for Michigan businesses to grow and flourish—because when they do, so does the rest of our community,” said Brandon Hofmeister, president of the Consumers Energy Foundation. “Michigan has a long and proud history of product innovation and design, and organizations like the Centrepolis Accelerator help ensure that story can continue. The Foundation is proud to work alongside them in providing that support.”
This grant will enable Centrepolis Accelerator to continue supporting undercapitalized hardtech businesses in Southeast Michigan by providing the critical programming and services needed to help them achieve key business and technical milestones. With this funding, Centrepolis will ensure startups have the infrastructure and expertise necessary to bring their innovations to market. Additionally, the grant will help offset operational costs, allowing the Accelerator to engage more Michigan-based startups and small businesses while strengthening the local supply chain.
“We are incredibly grateful for this support, which will help us continue our work as Michigan’s leading hardtech accelerator,” said Dan Radomski, CEO of Centrepolis Accelerator. “The demand for our services has grown significantly, and this funding will strengthen our ability to scale, support more entrepreneurs, and ensure that innovative physical products are not only developed but also manufactured right here in Michigan.”
The Centrepolis Accelerator focuses on scaling hardtech businesses by providing end-to-end support, including product design, engineering, prototyping, manufacturing, and testing services. In addition, companies benefit from a network of industry experts, entrepreneurs-in-residence, and strategic partnerships, ensuring they receive both the technical and business guidance necessary for success.
