DescriptionThird Space Markets is a community environment that provides a variety of amenities that reflect the needs and wants of the city in which it resides, Oak Park, Michigan. Oak Park is striving to be better represented, and deserves to be represented in the way that they choose to do so. Third Space acts as a tool for residents to utilize in order to represent themselves and grow through community bonding.
Third space addresses the needs of a socially diverse demographic through careful considerations of the program, spatial composition, functionality, color, and materials. The building is composed of a variety of spaces that invite users to make place and remove intimidation by providing visual warmth in an environment that supports their experience and endeavors.
