Description

Learning from existing forms of strip malls across the country, my project focuses on anchor tenant strip mall concept. Taking inspiration from the logo of Target stores, I have created a structure that is an unravelling of the Target bullseye to create the anchor tenant and an attached strip mall and movie theater. The space is large enough to accommodate the needs of a standard Target store, while the branched wing provides space for 10 additional stores. The anchor store is wrapped by a 5 theater cinema which helps make the structure a destination for people to shop, eat, and be entertained. .
