Ian McClure, a senior studying Transportation Design at Lawrence Technological University, recounts his upbringing in Westchester County, New York, where frequent family road trips ignited his passion for automobiles. Spending hours identifying car makes and models from the car window became a formative experience for him. Over the years, Ian's love for cars grew stronger, fueled by visits to exotic car dealerships and attendance at events like the Scarsdale Concurs D’Elegance with friends. These experiences shaped his career path in transportation design. Ian is particularly interested in positions related to creative design, with a focus on interiors. He appreciates your interest in his work.

DescriptionDesigned to tackle the difficult work required to help rejuvenate our world from the impacts of the anthropogenic by taking part in re-greening efforts in Sub-Saharan Africa. Co branding with Hyper lite Mountain Gear brings added technical expertise, as well as access to Dyneema fabric, an organic textile with incredible strength to weight. I designed the interior in this vehicle, with a focus on openness, reducing mass, and modularity to create a sense of immersion, simulate airflow, and provide a broad range of functionality. Suspended parts reduce the visual weight of each part, and fabric mesh surfaces increase breath ability for the hot weather.
