Born and raised in Michigan naturally led to an undergraduate degree at Michigan State University where I studied Mechanical Engineering. After several years in the manufacturing industry, split between aerospace and automotive, the work stopped being interesting to me and I decided to pursue a career and build a business in construction and architecture. I now own and operate a small construction company, Keener Customs, with aspirations to design and build high end residential projects in the Metro-Detroit region and beyond.
The Soo Locks Recreation Center
MajorArchitecture [M.Arch]
DescriptionThe Soo Locks Recreation center on the Water Street site has been developed to provide an inviting and interesting space for the Greater Soo community. With an emphasis on relationships to adjacent interests, the Hydroplant to the East and the Ship Museum immediately to the West, the building form & envelope development were highly influenced by what is seen on site and in the region.
