The head cook worked with up to five others to prepare daily meals or create special dishes for dinner parties in the large Kitchen. Off to the left is a wall of built-in refrigerators and freezers. Here and in the Butler’s Pantry, the sinks and counters are made of German silver, an early form of stainless steel.
