Henry II's Bedroom/Bathroom
Before Henry moved his bedroom here, it was a guest room. Teague designed Henry’s Bedroom and Bath with the same streamlined, built-in furniture and metal accents as the other rooms. Here the seating area provides a focal point with a large built-in sofa and tables, a radio, and a record player.
It’s the slick design of the bathroom that is of most interest. It is a thoroughly modern room dramatically contrasting a black rectangular tiled floor with thick, gray grout. The bright chrome fixtures highlight the white sink and toilet and pale gray walls lined with structural glass tiles called Vitrolite.
