This material exploration was inspired by the similarity between the warp and weft of a loom and the horizontal and vertical synchronization frequencies of the video frame. The work was designed to produce patterns reminiscent of textiles and architectural embellishments.

DESCRIPTION
Video Art Zine was produced to offer a peek into the world of video synth artists today and helps to document their work in printed form. In an ongoing capacity, Evergreen operates a print shop specializing in Risograph printing, a form of digital drum duplicator, and each of the 23 zine contributors is an active participant in online video synth forums who responded to an open call for still images. The online communities serve to maintain and advance the knowledge base needed for assembling and using modular video synthesizers, and Evergreen I personally have learned a tremendous amount from participating in the conversations himself.
